Banking Makes Good Cents!
When you save your money in a bank, the bank will pay you interest. Interest is extra money that the bank puts in your account every month. Once interest is added, it is yours to keep. You can take your money out with a savings withdrawal slip or leave it in where your money will grow. The more you save, the more interest (money the bank gives you) you get.
With your Kids' Account, you will have your own savings book with your name on it. It will also have a Buzzy Bee sticker on it. Buzzy is our mascot. You can deposit your money into your savings book from your allowance, birthday and holiday gifts, money you earn - even gifts from the tooth fairy.
When you join The Kids' Account at Franklin Savings Bank, you will get a membership card and certificate, and your own savings book that shows your balance (how much money is in your account).
Once you are a Kids' Account member, you can put money in your account (make deposits) as often as you like. And, here is the really fun part - when you make a deposit of $.50 or more, you will also get a coupon. You can save your coupons and bring them to the bank to get FUN prizes. You can also take money out of your account (make withdrawals) of any size, as long as the grown-up on your account signs too.
