Long Term Care Insurance

Long-term care insurance provides coverage for medical and other services to those needing professional care at home or in a nursing home.

Like automobile and homeowners insurance, Long-term care insurance can protect a family's most valuable assets. When purchased properly with the assistance of financial experts, long term care can be an affordable means of ensuring that you receive the extended in-home or nursing home care of your choosing, while protecting your financial assets.

Find out how to properly purchase long term care insurance from one of our insurance professionals.

Disability Insurance

An untimely illness or accident can be difficult, add the loss of income you could suffer can be just as devastating. Disability insurance can provide coverage to replace up to 60% of your wages, for a specified period of time.

Take some time to review your benefit package that your employer offers you. You may find that there is a disability plan in place. If you find that there is not an adequate plan in place, or any plan in place, we can supplement the coverage you have at work, or provide coverage if you have none.

Life Insurance

Life insurance needs change throughout the changing stages of your life. The primary reason for purchasing life insurance is to provide financial support for dependants when a loved one passes away.

Term Life Insurance

Term insurance provides coverage for a specified period of time, as long as the premiums are paid. The length of term insurance can be 10, 15, 20, 25, or even 30 years. Term insurance does not build cash value and will pay the beneficiary should the insured pass away during the term selected. Because the premiums of term insurance are lower than permanent insurance, it is easier to purchase a higher level of protection at a younger age when the need to protect is at its greatest.

Term insurance is a product that will cover those needs that will disappear in time, such as a mortgage, car payments, or college tuition.

Permanent Life Insurance

Permanent insurance provides coverage for the lifetime of the insured as long as the premiums are paid. Most permanent life insurance policies have a cash value or surrender value feature. This feature provides you with several options:

  • You may cancel or surrender the policy in part or in whole. However, should you exercise this option in the early years, there may be little or no cash value available.
  • You may borrow from the insurance company using the cash value as collateral.
  • Should you find that it is difficult to continue paying the premiums, you are able to use the cash value to continue to pay the premium for a specified period of time.

There are many types of permanent insurance available. Our financial experts can help you determine which plan is best for you.

Fixed Annuity

A fixed annuity is a product offered through an insurance company that offers a guarantee of your principle investment as well as a fixed interest rate for a specified period of time, typically 5 years or more. A fixed annuity provides flexibility with your investment:

  • Fixed annuities provide you with the ability to draw 10% of your investment value annually, or, you may draw the interest earned that is available.
  • Some fixed annuities offer the ability to add funds (deposit) during the annuity period.
  • Fixed annuity products are tax deferred.
  • Fixed annuities, like life insurance products, avoid the probate process, as you have the ability to name a beneficiary.
Let our financial experts help you find the fixed annuity investment that fits with your investment plan.

Health Insurance

Health insurance provides coverage should you or a member of your family need medical assistance. Health care costs are high and will most likely get higher; having a good health plan in place will help to protect you financially.

Independence Trust Company is able to offer individual health plans as well as group plans.

Individual Insurance

Individual insurance is a plan that you purchase for yourself, in the event that your employer does not offer any group insurance. There are several choices of coverage for an individual insurance plan.

Group Insurance

Group insurance provides coverage for business groups of 1 person or more. There are several insurance providers in the state that offer group insurance.

If you are an individual or a business (no matter how small), looking for health insurance, Independence Trust Company can help find the plan that will fit your health needs.
